Black Sea Dahu are a Zürich-based Swiss band built around singer-songwriter Janine Cathrein, partly a family affair with her sister Vera and brother Simon Cathrein among the core members. Their sound moves between indie folk, chamber pop and art rock, and they won the Swiss Music Award for Artist of the Year in 2019. Since their debut album 'White Creatures' (2018), they have toured relentlessly across Europe, selling out venues from Berlin to London.
Black Sea Dahu released their third studio album 'Everything' on February 20, 2026 via Mouthwatering Records.
The band launched 'Everything Tour 2026', which spans 10 countries with 35 planned shows.
Black Sea Dahu released the live album 'Live in Zürich and Bern' on August 16, 2024, recorded with the string quartet Amour sur Mars.
The band performed at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2024 as part of the collaboration with Amour sur Mars.
