About

Braindead is Denmark's first all-female old-school death metal band, formed in Copenhagen in May 2025. The quartet - Katla Thorberg (vocals/rhythm guitar), Josefine 'Joe' Løth (lead guitar), Carla Little (bass) and Solveig Sørensen-Grumløse (drums) - draws its sound from late-80s and early-90s death metal, citing Massacre, Autopsy, Obituary and Baphomet as key influences. Within their first year they had already played Copenhell and Copenhagen Metal Fest.
