Bulgarian Voices Angelite
Bulgarian vocal ensemble Bulgarian Voices Angelite takes the stage at TRAIN in Aarhus.
Bulgarian Voices Angelite is a Bulgarian women's choir that grew out of the circle of singers behind the celebrated Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares recordings. The ensemble made its Western European concert debut in Bremen in 1987 and has toured internationally ever since, known for its piercing dissonances and deep multi-voiced drone harmonies rooted in Bulgarian folk song. The choir has collaborated with artists such as the Tuvan throat-singing group Huun-Huur-Tu and the Moscow Art Trio, and has performed at venues including the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and Moscow's Red Square.
The choir performs a concert at Sankt Lukas Church in Aarhus on October 21, 2026 as part of an autumn tour through Germany, Poland and Scandinavia.
A concert at Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen on November 30, 2025 sold out, and a waiting list was created.
The choir has shared a rehearsal video on Facebook as a prelude to its autumn tour in 2026.
On October 24, 2026, the choir performs at the venue Cosmopolite in Oslo.
