About

Burnin Red Ivanhoe is a Danish progressive rock and jazz-fusion band founded in Copenhagen in 1967 by saxophonist and composer Karsten Vogel. Their 1969 debut double LP M 144 on Sonet Records established them as pioneers of the Danish underground, and John Peel's Dandelion label handled UK distribution. Despite splitting in 1972, the band has reunited repeatedly and continues to perform live, with more than 1,000 concerts to their name.
