Carlo Ahead
Carlo Ahead blends hip-hop with jazz elements and hand-played instrumentation. Rapper Mund de Carlo and the instrumental collective Ahead perform an intimate concert at H15 with only around 100 tickets available.
Carlo Ahead is a Danish hip-hop project pairing rapper Mund de Carlo with the live instrumental quartet Ahead (drums, bass, keys, guitar). Mund de Carlo has spent over a decade as one of the more distinctive voices in Danish rap, rooted in the Nørrebro collective Struglaz and the duo Binær, while Ahead has been crafting hand-played hip-hop since 2017, drawing on traditions from Detroit, New York and L.A. The two first shared a stage in Aalborg in July 2024 and have since toured Denmark twice, releasing their second EP, GRUS, to a five-star review in Gaffa in February 2026.
Carlo Ahead plays at H15 in Copenhagen on October 1, 2026 with special guest MCKold.
Gaffa reviewed the Carlo Ahead concert at Skråen in Aalborg on April 23, 2026 and described it as a meeting with hip-hop elite.
The EP GRUS received five stars in Gaffa in March 2026, and the band subsequently toured eight cities in Denmark.
Gaffa published an album review of GRUS on February 24, 2026 with the title 'He has one of Denmark's hardest flows'.
