Cities Aviv is the stage name of Wilbert Gavin Mays (born May 16, 1989), a rapper and producer from Memphis, Tennessee. He broke through with the 2011 mixtape Digital Lows and the 2014 debut album Come to Life, both praised by Pitchfork and Spin for their experimental, lo-fi hip-hop. Since then he has released prolifically on his own D.O.T./Total Works label, and in 2026 stepped outside it for a rare appearance on the Australian avant-garde imprint Black Truffle.
EVEN COLDER SPRING is released on vinyl via the Australian avant-garde label Black Truffle on August 28, 2026 - a rare release outside his own D.O.T. label.
The digital version of EVEN COLDER SPRING was released on March 11, 2026 and was received as his best work since Working Title for the Album Secret Waters from 2022.
