Codeine
Codeine performs at Musik Loppen in Copenhagen. A concert for music lovers.
Codeine are an American indie rock band from New York City, formed in 1989 by Stephen Immerwahr (vocals, bass), John Engle (guitar) and Chris Brokaw (drums). Glacial tempos, heavy bass and Immerwahr's hushed, melancholy delivery made them one of the founding names of slowcore. They put out two albums, Frigid Stars LP (1990) and The White Birch (1994), before splitting up. After one-off reunions in 2012, they returned to the stage in 2023, and a European tour is set for spring 2027.
Codeine has announced a European tour in May-June 2027, and tickets went on sale Friday, October 23, 2026 via Puschen.
The tour gives the band their first ever performances in Turkey, Norway and Sweden after four years away from Europe.
The band plays, among other places, in Berlin on May 17, Oslo on May 22, Hamburg on May 25 and Bologna on June 1, 2027.
