Cold Connection is a Swedish synthpop duo from Helsingborg, formed in 2011 by Pontus Olsson (music and synthesizers) and Daniel Billqvist (vocals and lyrics). Their 2021 debut album *Seconds of Solitude*, released on the Danish label Town And Towers Records, established them as a notable voice in the European synthpop scene. Their sound draws on Depeche Mode, Erasure and Elegant Machinery - melancholic and atmospheric, yet built for the dancefloor.
Cold Connection released the single 'Voices of the Night' on October 11, 2024 - a track that had already served as a live intro at the band's concerts, and which was accompanied by an 80s-inspired synthwave music video.
Cold Connection was featured on Synthpop Fanatics' list of the 100 best synthpop songs in 2025, where the band appeared alongside names such as Assemblage 23, Kite and Tobias Bernstrup.
The band re-released 'Degraded Life' in a remastered version in 2024 and also released a cover version of Depeche Mode's 'My Secret Garden'.
Cold Connection released the single 'Bright' in August 2023 - a revived demo from the band's early days, originally written by former member Jonas Lindelöf and now re-recorded by the duo.
The remix album *Cold Connection Remixed* was released in 2023 with 11 tracks and contributions from remixers such as People Theatre, Patrick Kambo and Kim Lunner.
