Current Joys is the solo project of Nick Rattigan, a Nevada-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who adopted the name in 2015. His music ranges from lo-fi indie and post-punk to experimental pop and country folk, and he also plays drums in the indie duo Surf Curse. The 2018 album "A Different Age" brought him international recognition, and the project has since surpassed one billion combined streams.
Current Joys plays at Vega in Copenhagen on August 17, 2026 as part of a European tour.
Current Joys performed at Sydney Opera House during the Vivid LIVE festival in May 2026.
The singles "Kids" and "Televisions" were used on the soundtrack to the horror film Obsession (2025).
The album "East My Love" was released on October 11, 2024 via Secretly Canadian - recorded with producer Andrew Sarlo and featuring country and transcendental folk as the focal point.
"LOVE + POP Pt 2" was released in May 2024 as a follow-up to the experimental double album from 2023, which featured guest appearances by Lil Yachty, among others.
