De Vaskeægte Bakkesangerinder
The Danish folk group De Vaskeægte Bakkesangerinder takes the stage at Bellevue Teatret in Hellerup.
De Vaskeægte Bakkesangerinder ('The Genuine Hill Singers') are a Danish trio - Dot Wessmann, Ann Farholt and Tina Grunwald - all seasoned performers from Bakkens Hvile, the historic singing pavilion at Dyrehavsbakken. Dot Wessmann is a fourth-generation owner of the venue, Ann Farholt is widely known as a jazz singer, and Tina Grunwald has more than 40 years on the Bakken stage. Their touring show 'Frie, frækkere og fabelagtige' brings the nearly 150-year-old tradition of bawdy songs, satire and audience sing-alongs to theatres across Denmark.
Review of Bakkens Hvile season 2026 highlights Dot Wessman's 50-year anniversary on stage and praises the performance as 'a festive fireworks of new and old songs'.
The trio opens Hjørring Theatre's 2026-27 season at Vendelbohus on September 24 with the performance 'Free, Cheeky and Fabulous'.
De Vaskeægte Bakkesangerinder perform at Bellevue Theatre in Klampenborg on November 27, 2026.
Bakkens Hvile is preparing for its 150-year anniversary in 2027, according to cphculture.dk in its review of the 2026 season.
DR2 broadcast the documentary series 'Free, Cheeky and Too Much - The History of the Singing Girls' in five episodes about the history of the Bakke singers from 1877 to today.
