Dea Matrona are an Irish rock duo from Belfast, formed in 2018 by Orláith Forsythe and Mollie McGinn, who share lead vocals and swap between bass and lead guitar. They broke through via viral busking videos on the streets of Belfast and have since toured alongside Sting, Sheryl Crow and The Darkness across Europe. Their debut album 'For Your Sins' arrived in 2024, followed by the second record 'Hate That I Care' on AWAL in June 2026.
Dea Matrona released their second album 'Hate That I Care' on June 5, 2026 via the record label AWAL.
The band released the single 'Magic Spell' on October 17, 2025 and announced that they were working on producing a new album while on tour.
Dea Matrona completed a UK and Ireland tour in November 2025 with stops in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, London, Dublin and Belfast, among others.
Dea Matrona performed as support for The Corrs at Plymouth Summer Sessions in June 2025.
The band announced their first own European headliner tour starting in March 2026, including a concert in Copenhagen at VEGA on March 20.
