Dizzy Bird Big Band is a Danish 20-piece big band made up mainly of conservatory students who share a deep commitment to the big band tradition. The group made its debut on 4 July 2026 at Ku.be in Frederiksberg, mixing Ellington and Basie classics with a big band arrangement of Amy Winehouse's 'Valerie'. A tribute concert dedicated to Louis Armstrong, featuring Swedish trumpeter Björn Ingelstam, is already in the pipeline.
