Sønderjysk Pigekor og Drengekor is an elite choral organisation based in Sønderborg, founded in 1994 and led since 1997 by chief conductor Mette Rasmussen. Around 260 singers aged 2-21 are spread across seven ensembles within Det Sønderjyske Sangcenter, ranging from a parent-and-toddler group to the full Concert Choir. The repertoire covers classical choral music, folk songs and crossover projects - including a long-running creative partnership with the band Efterklang - and the choirs have performed at official royal occasions as well as on international stages.
