Vivaldi for Two Trumpets - Encounters Chamber Music Series x DUEN
Christmas concert featuring two soloists performing Vivaldi and other classical works with the Encounters Chamber Music Series and DUEN at a historic Copenhagen church.
Encounters Kammermusikserie is a Danish chamber music series founded by hornist Julie Norén Solevad, who grew up in Køge. The series places award-winning soloists and ensembles in unconventional venues - churches, galleries, manor houses and warehouses - across the Køge area, southern Zealand and Copenhagen. It launched in May 2025 and has expanded its reach with each edition.
The 2026 festival ran from May 28 to June 7 with concerts in Køge, Faxe, Næstved and Copenhagen - a marked geographical expansion compared to the debut.
The closing concert on June 7, 2026 took place in Garnisonskirken in Copenhagen with the Royal Chapel's Brass Quintet and Katrine Gislinge - music by Bach, Mozart and Nielsen.
The 2026 program included, among others, Horn Trio Mauritzen/Søe/Bjørkøe at Vemmetofte Kloster and Petri/Hannibal Duo at Gammelkjøgegaard.
The first edition of the series took place May 23-25, 2025 with six concerts distributed across five locations in Køge.
