Enslaved are a Norwegian metal band founded in Haugesund in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson. Starting out in viking and black metal, the band has spent more than three decades pushing into progressive territory, blending rock and psychedelic influences across 17 studio albums, including genre landmarks such as "Frost" and "Vertebrae".
Enslaved released the single "Tales of Trees" and announced a co-headline European tour with Sólstafir in February 2027, with a concert at Amager Bio in Copenhagen on February 7.
The band announced their 17th studio album "Mið", which will be released on October 30, 2026 via Nuclear Blast, as a follow-up to "Heimdal" from 2023.
Enslaved is confirmed for Maryland Deathfest 2027 in Baltimore, where they will play their debut album "Vikingligr Veldi" from 1994 in its entirety.
The band is holding an album release concert in Bergen and playing Oslo Spektrum with Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon in connection with the release of "Mið".
