Turkish rapper Ezhel takes the stage at Poolen in Copenhagen.
Ezhel, born Sercan İpekçioğlu on 1 July 1991 in Ankara, is a Turkish rapper and singer who fuses trap, hip-hop and reggae with Anatolian urban textures. His 2017 debut album "Müptezhel" broke him through to a wide audience, and since relocating to Berlin in 2019 he has built a substantial European following. The New York Times listed him among the 15 most important European pop acts of 2019, and his track "AYA" has surpassed 80 million Spotify streams.
Ezhel released the single "Başa Bela" in June 2026, the latest in a series of releases since the album Derdo.
Ezhel announced a European tour in 2026 with stops in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki, among others.
Ezhel released his second solo album "Derdo" on November 21, 2024 - 12 songs in 34 minutes via Koal Arts GmbH.
During 2025, Ezhel released several singles, including "Ağla", "Deli Mi Ne" and "Utanıyorum".
In August 2025, Ezhel publicly commented on social media about Turkish national identity and cultural responsibility.
