About

Filip Ekestubbe is a Swedish jazz pianist from Stockholm, born in 1989. He has long been one of the city's most in-demand pianists, working both as a sideman and leading his own trio, with collaborators including Isabella Lundgren and Peter Asplund. His trio with drummer Snorre Kirk and bassist Anders Fjeldsted draws on the classic piano-trio tradition with a contemporary edge.
