Frank Hasselstrøm is a Danish composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, trained at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. He plays piano, trombone, trumpet, tuba, guitar, bass and several other instruments, and has been a regular member of The Savage Rose since 2012, handling horns and keys. Alongside his work with The Savage Rose, he co-founded the band Catbird with singer Billie Koppel in 2001 and has written music for the Odense Symphony Orchestra, DR Symphony Orchestra, film, theatre and ballet. In 2003 he received a Danish Music Awards nomination for Producer of the Year for his work on Catbird's album "Sliding From The Moon".
The Savage Rose performed at DR Koncerthuset's Koncertsal on May 23, 2026 with Frank Hasselstrøm on wind instruments and keys.
The Savage Rose returned to Gjethuset on April 29, 2026 after a sold-out concert there in 2024.
The Savage Rose concluded their spring tour 2025 with three concerts at the Royal Theatre's Gamle Scene in Copenhagen on March 17, 18, and 20.
Frank Hasselstrøm began working in 2025 on his solo project under the name Frankie.
The Savage Rose carried out a Wild Child tour in 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album Wild Child and concluded with two concerts at the Opera in Copenhagen.
