About

Gilla Band are an Irish post-punk and noise rock band from Dublin, formed in 2011 by vocalist Dara Kiely, guitarist Alan Duggan Borges, bassist Daniel Fox, and drummer Adam Faulkner. Formerly known as Girl Band, they changed their name in November 2021. Their three albums on Rough Trade Records - 'Holding Hands with Jamie' (2015), 'The Talkies' (2019), and 'Most Normal' (2022) - have established them as one of the most influential guitar acts to emerge from Ireland in the past decade.
