Inger Dam-Jensen (born 13 March 1964 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish lyric-coloratura soprano who trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Danish Opera School. Her international career took off when she won the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition in 1993, after which she became a regular at the Royal Danish Opera while also appearing at Covent Garden, the Paris Bastille and Glyndebourne. Her recording of Carl Nielsen songs for Dacapo won the Gramophone Award for Best Vocal Recording, and she has performed with orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic.
Inger Dam-Jensen was a jury member at the international singing competition Schymberg Award in 2024.
Dam-Jensen is active as a teacher and coach and is booked via Granvig Artists for new concert projects, including with organist Jørgen Ellekilde and the duo Singh & Goldschmidt.
