Vinterjazz: Colour Haze [DE]
German psych legends Colour Haze return to Copenhagen for the Vinterjazz Festival, presenting material from their forthcoming album 'Electric Starglow' on their first Danish visit since 2022.
Jan Faszbender is a German keyboard and synth player best known as a permanent member of Colour Haze, one of the oldest and most influential names in German stoner and psychedelic rock, hailing from Munich. He began playing with the band around 2017 and officially joined in 2018, turning the original power trio into a quartet with organ and synth as a new layer in the sound. Faszbender appears on the albums "We Are" (2019/2020) and "Sacred" (2022), both released on Stefan Koglek's own label Elektrohasch Schallplatten.
Colour Haze started in April 2026 "The Karma Haze Tour" together with My Sleeping Karma, which extended through Germany, Austria, Poland and France until May.
The band announced that they have material for a new double-LP consisting of four long tracks, which was to be recorded at Clouds Hill Studio in Hamburg in May 2026 with expected release in autumn.
In early 2025, Colour Haze re-released a reworked version of the album "To the Highest Gods We Know" from 2014 in connection with the band's 30-year anniversary tour.
Jan Faszbender participates as a permanently credited member on synth, organ and electric piano on Colour Haze's 14th studio album "Sacred", released in September 2022.
