Jazz Vegaz is a Danish six-piece band playing jazz and swing from the 1920s, 30s and 40s, drawing on the repertoire of the great American dance orchestras. Saxophonist Finn Odderskov writes the arrangements, tailored to the small but punchy lineup of sax, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, piano and bass. The programme includes pieces by Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington alongside classic standards, with four of the members taking turns on vocals.
