Jesper Lørup is a Danish jazz drummer and the current member of Kosmos Trio, a young Danish piano trio playing original modern jazz with a minimalist, Nordic sound. The trio, led by pianist and composer Frede Holger Thorsen, won JazzDanmark's jazz competition in 2023 and received a nomination for New Jazz Name of the Year at DMA Jazz the same year. With Lørup on drums and Martin Brunbjerg on bass as a new lineup, the trio releases its second album, "...and the Sun", in August 2026.
