Joe & The Shitboys
Punk rock band Joe & The Shitboys perform at Musik Loppen in Copenhagen.
Joe & The Shitboys are a Faroese punk band, active since 2019, playing what they call "shitpunk": short, raw songs with a sharp political edge aimed at conservatism back home. The four-piece - Joe, Ziggy Shit, Johnny Shit and Ollie Shit - describe themselves as queer and vegan, and their debut album "The Reson For Hardcore Vibes" landed them on NME's tip list for 2020. In 2025 the band signed to Alcopop! Records and opened for punk icon Iggy Pop on his UK tour.
The band is currently on a British headline tour in October 2026 with concerts in, among others, Norwich, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and London.
The band released the compilation album Greatest Shits on August 29, 2025 via the British record label Alcopop! Records, which brings together the first three albums and new tracks.
Iggy Pop has publicly called Joe & The Shitboys the most exciting band in the world right now and uses their song 'Mr. Nobody' as walk-out music.
In May 2025, the group signed a contract with Alcopop! Records and was the opening act for Iggy Pop on his British tour, including at Alexandra Palace in London.
In September 2024, the band released its third album, The Reson For Hardcore Vibes III.
