Johnny Horsepower are a Copenhagen trio formed in 2009 with a single focus: the raw, stripped-back sound of Johnny Cash & The Tennessee Two from the 1950s. The three members - Dennis Lydom on vocals and guitar, Tim Kristensen on double bass, and Morten Metniece on electric guitar - have clocked over 500 shows across Europe. Their 2016 album 'The Band in Black', released on El Toro Records, stands out for four tracks recorded at Sun Studio in Memphis with Cash's original drummer WS 'Fluke' Holland.
