Karen Johansen and Anne Bjørner are two local enthusiasts from the Helsinge area who have hosted a monthly community sing-along at Helsinge Bibliotek since the early 2020s. Karen plays piano while Anne opens with a short talk, and the songs are drawn from Højskolesangbogen, the classic Danish folk high school songbook. The event takes place on the last Wednesday of each month in the library foyer and is free of charge.
