Kerstin Thiele is a Swedish flutist who has been a core member of the Esbjerg Ensemble - Denmark's oldest professional international chamber music group - since 1986. She trained with solo flutist Toke Lund Christiansen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and with Professor André Jaunet in Zurich. Alongside her ensemble work she teaches at the Danish National Academy of Music (SDMK) and sits on the Esbjerg Ensemble's board, elected by her fellow musicians. Her recording of Roger Reynolds' electroacoustic flute concerto Transfigured Wind III on Wind Concertos (Ekkozone, 2024) was named one of Danish Radio's five best albums of the year.
