Kiesza
Canadian pop and electronic artist Kiesza performs at Loppen in Copenhagen.
Kiesza (Kiesa Rae Ellestad, born 1989 in Calgary) is a Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She broke through in 2014 with the deep house single "Hideaway" and her debut album Sound of a Woman, and the one-shot video for the song remains her best-known calling card. Before music took over she served in the Canadian Navy and studied at Berklee College of Music. She now releases her dance-pop independently, most recently through the Dancing and Crying EP trilogy.
Kiesza released the EP Dancing and Crying: Volume 3 on May 8, 2026 and subsequently toured in the USA and Europe, including a stop at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen on May 28.
In April 2026, the single "When I'm Dancing" was released with a music video, and Kiesza confirmed at the same time that Volume 3 will be the final part of her dance trilogy.
The single "Good Morning America" featuring KYLIE was released in March 2026 as a preview to the EP.
Kiesza was on the program at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London on May 31, 2026.
In summer 2024, "I Go Dance" reached number one on the American Dance Airplay chart.
