The Dutch North Sea Symphony Orchestra joins two Copenhagen orchestras for two concerts at Den sorte diamant.
Københavns Politiorkester (KPO) is a wind band founded in 1922 by police officers who wanted to show there was more to the uniform than daily police work. Around 45 musicians - all employed by or connected to the Copenhagen Police - make up the ensemble, which runs entirely on membership fees and supporter contributions with no public funding. The repertoire ranges from marches and swing to musicals and light classical, and the orchestra has performed abroad on numerous occasions, including seven visits to the Strathclyde International Police Tattoo in Glasgow.
KPO held two Christmas concerts in December 2025: one at Frederiksberg Christmas Market on December 7 and one at the Library, Rentemestervej on December 15.
The orchestra held its traditional Christmas concert on December 9, 2024 at the LIBRARY.
