Lágrimas are a DIY screamo and melodic crust band from Watts, South Central Los Angeles, formed in 2019 by musicians from across SoCal. Starting out at backyard shows in the LA punk underground, they have since toured internationally. Their sound draws on melodic crust punk, screamo and post-rock, with lyrics circling themes of non-conformity, anti-authoritarianism and anti-capitalism. Releases include five EPs, the 2024 debut LP "A Life of Destruction" and a split album with Habak.
Lágrimas released the EP "im not strong enough for this" on September 2, 2025 - a five-track release recorded by the band themselves and mixed by Patrick Alexander at Cacho Studio in Tijuana.
The band simultaneously released the EP "like when i was a kid" on September 2, 2025, also produced at Cacho Studio in Tijuana.
Lágrimas performed at the Sound and Fury festival in Los Angeles on July 12-13, 2025.
The band is booked at Spillestedet Stengade in Copenhagen on October 23, 2026 as part of a European tour.
The debut album "A Life of Destruction" was released on June 26, 2024, recorded by Alex Estrada and mastered by Jack Shirley.
