Leonardo "Leo" Andersen is an Argentine guitarist, composer and session musician born in 1992 in Adrogué, Buenos Aires. Trained at the Conservatorio Isaias Orbe in Tandil and the Conservatorio Juan José Castro in Buenos Aires, he has built a career spanning solo work, bandleading and session credits on more than 50 recordings alongside artists such as Abel Pintos, Nicki Nicole and Franco Luciani. His debut solo album "Puentes" (2019) earned a Premios Gardel nomination, and in 2021 he won the award for best instrumental tango album as part of the Franco Luciani Trio.
Andersen's solo album "Sudamericano" was released on Prima Classic in July 2026 with 16 compositions spanning Argentine folklore, tango and milonga.
The album "Momentum: Buenos Aires" was released on March 14, 2025 on Prima Classic - 15 pieces inspired by Buenos Aires' neighborhoods.
Andersen and Norwegian violinist Karl Espegard toured Europe in 2023 with singer Mariana Mazú and now perform regularly as a duo.
Andersen received Premios Gardel for best instrumental tango album as part of Franco Luciani Trio with pianist Pepe Colángelo.
The debut album "Puentes" (2019) was nominated for Premios Gardel in the category best alternative folklore album.
