Lumbye Akademiet is Denmark's first professional orchestra academy and the first privately funded orchestra academy in Scandinavia. Founded by Copenhagen Phil, it brings together young musicians who perform alongside the orchestra's established players. The academy takes its name from the Danish composer H.C. Lumbye.
