Maggie Björklund is a Danish guitarist, pedal steel player and songwriter who grew up near Copenhagen. She made her name in the 1990s as the central figure of the all-female band Darleens, and has since worked as a session and touring player in the US and Europe. She played pedal steel on Jack White's Lazaretto and toured with his all-female band The Peacocks. Her two solo albums, Coming Home (2010/2011) and Shaken (2014), came out on Bloodshot Records and sit between Americana, desert pop and cinematic instrumental music.
