Manfred Merwald

About

Manfred Merwald is the drummer of German stoner and psych rock band Colour Haze from Munich. He has played in the band since 1998 and, alongside singer-guitarist Stefan Koglek, is its longest-serving member. His drumming is often described as jazzy and energetic, and he has appeared on every Colour Haze album since "Periscope" (1999). The band, now rounded out by bassist Mario Oberpucher and keyboardist Jan Faszbender, has been a fixture of Germany's heavy psychedelic underground for more than three decades.
