Vinterjazz: Colour Haze [DE]
German psych legends Colour Haze return to Copenhagen for the Vinterjazz Festival, presenting material from their forthcoming album 'Electric Starglow' on their first Danish visit since 2022.
Mario Oberpucher is the bassist of German psych/stoner rock band Colour Haze from Munich, one of the genre's longest-running German acts, founded in 1994. He spent years as the band's live sound engineer and contributed sitar to earlier records such as All (2008) before becoming full-time bassist in 2020, following Philipp Rasthofer's departure. His studio debut on bass came on the 2022 album Sacred, the band's 14th full-length, and he now plays alongside guitarist/vocalist Stefan Koglek, drummer Manfred Merwald and keyboardist Jan Faszbender.
Colour Haze has announced concerts in Denmark with venue Stengade in Copenhagen on February 23 and Skråen in Aalborg on February 24, the latter as part of the Vinterjazz festival.
The band launched 'The Karma Haze Tour' with My Sleeping Karma and plans to record a new double album at Clouds Hill Studio in Hamburg in May 2026 with release expected in autumn.
Colour Haze and My Sleeping Karma announced a joint spring tour called 'The Karma Haze Tour' after playing together at Desertfest Belgium.
The band re-released a revised version of the album To the Highest Gods We Know in connection with a 30-year anniversary tour.
