Martial Canterel is the solo project of Sean McBride, a Brooklyn-based musician who also performs as one half of the synth duo Xeno & Oaklander. He started out under the name Moravagine in 2002, adopting the Martial Canterel alias for his debut album 'Confusing Outsides' in 2005. Working exclusively with analogue synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines, he has built a substantial catalogue at the intersection of minimal synth, cold wave and industrial electronics, releasing on labels including Wierd Records, Medical Records and Dais Records.
