Mette Juul is a Danish jazz singer, guitarist and songwriter who trained at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. She won the International Jazzartist Competition in Tallinn in 2007, and since her 2010 debut has released seven albums that move between Nordic jazz and the singer-songwriter tradition. Her collaborators include bassist Lars Danielsson, trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire and pianist Heine Hansen, and her work has drawn praise from critics in Denmark and abroad.
Mette Juul released her seventh album 'Thank You & Other Stories' on April 4, 2025 on Nilento Records, with Peter Rosendal and Lars Danielsson on piano and bass respectively.
