Mezzoforte is an Icelandic jazz-funk fusion band formed in Reykjavik in 1977 by four teenagers who went on to become Iceland's most celebrated musical export of their era. Their 1983 single "Garden Party" reached the UK top 20 and brought them international recognition at a time when no Icelandic act had managed the same. They are widely credited as the first Icelandic band to break through on the world stage, paving the way for the Sugarcubes and Björk. Now past their fourth decade together, the founding members continue to tour and record.
Mezzoforte played at Metro Music Bar in Brno, Czech Republic, in November 2024 as part of their European tour program.
The band performed at Vulkan Arena in Oslo in September 2024.
Mezzoforte gave a concert at Portalen in Greve, Denmark, in November 2023.
