Monday Night Big Band is a Danish big band led by pianist and conductor Niels Jørgen Steen, who turned 85 in 2024 and continues to front the ensemble. The band holds a long-standing residency at Paradise Jazz in Huset KBH, Copenhagen, and performs annually at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Their repertoire centres on swing and bebop - Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Count Basie - all arranged by Steen, a veteran who earlier worked alongside jazz giants such as Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins.
