Nigerian afrobeats artist Omah Lay brings modern African pop and R&B to Poolen in Copenhagen.
Omah Lay, born Stanley Omah Didia on 19 May 1997 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is a singer, songwriter and producer whose sound fuses Afrobeats with R&B, soul and highlife. He broke through during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown with the EP Get Layd and the single "Bad Influence", later collaborating with Justin Bieber and Davido. His debut album Boy Alone (2022) earned international acclaim, and his sophomore album Clarity of Mind followed in April 2026.
Omah Lay's second studio album Clarity of Mind was released on April 3, 2026 and debuted at No. 1 on Nigeria's Apple Music album chart, while 12 tracks from the album simultaneously landed on Billboard's American Afrobeats Songs chart.
"With You" featuring Davido was nominated for Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026, but did not win the award.
Omah Lay received his first Grammy nomination when "With You" (feat. Davido) was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Omah Lay headlined the first edition of Motherland Festival in Lagos on December 20, 2025 - his only Lagos performance during the Christmas season.
The single "With You" featuring Davido was released on April 18, 2025 and became the most streamed song in Nigeria on Spotify throughout 2025.
