Peter Sommer (born 1974 in Skanderborg) is a Danish singer-songwriter who has released ten albums in Danish since his debut with the duo Superjeg in 2002. He is widely recognised for his wordplay-rich lyrics and his ability to blend rock with a literary songwriting tradition, earning him multiple Danish Music Awards including Male Artist and Songwriter of the Year. His eighth solo album, Verdens Volume (2025), continues his long-standing engagement with the European chanson tradition, paying tribute to figures such as Serge Gainsbourg and Jacques Brel.
