Peter Stavrum Nielsen is a Danish percussionist and multi-instrumentalist who trained at the Royal Music Academy in Silkeborg. Just two weeks after graduating he joined the international show STOMP, touring with it for six years - including at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Back in Copenhagen he co-founded Body Rhythm Factory, which has given over 700 concerts across Europe and China since 2008 and won the YAMA Award for the world's best concert production for children and youth in 2013. He also runs the online body-percussion school Groove2day and performs with Funky Currywurst Brothers and as solo act Pete Percussive Playful.
Body Rhythm Factory performs at Kulturhuset Krudttønden in Copenhagen on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 10:00 as part of the Krudt&Klang program.
Body Rhythm Factory performed at Amager Børnemusikfestival 2026, supported by, among others, Statens Kunstfond.
