Pleiadians is an Italian goa and psychedelic trance project founded in the mid-1990s as a side outlet for Etnica - the duo of Max Lanfranconi and Maurizio Begotti, originally based in Milan and later relocated to Ibiza. Their 1997 debut album "I.F.O. (Identified Flying Object)" on Dragonfly Records is widely regarded as one of the defining releases in the genre, built on unusually fast tempos, densely layered synth melodies and a sci-fi aesthetic. The project has remained active across three decades, releasing albums through to 2026.
Pleiadians released the anniversary album "30 Years" on May 8, 2026 on Suntrip Records - a double-CD with classic tracks and previously unreleased live recordings from 1998.
Classic Goa Trax (sublabel under Suntrip Records) released "Single Collection" on November 5, 2024 in collaboration with Max Lanfranconi and Maurizio Begotti - a collection of over 90 minutes of classic singles.
Etnica/Pleiadians celebrated 30 years anniversary with a special 3-CD and 2-LP release on Suntrip Records on April 4, 2025, which included a remastered version of "Alien Protein" and previously unreleased tracks.
Pleiadians released the album "Pyramid" on November 11, 2019 via Etnicanet - an 8-track album that continues the duo's sci-fi-oriented psytrance sound.
