Raindogs - Celebrating Tom Waits
Danish-Norwegian tribute band Raindogs celebrates Tom Waits with a concert spanning his entire career, from early country and jazz influences to his later experimental work.
Raindogs is a Danish/Norwegian/Swedish tribute band dedicated to the music of Tom Waits, formed in 2003. With over 250 concerts across Denmark and Norway - ranging from small bars to major festivals - the band has built a loyal following through annual Danish tours. Fronted by Ole Johnny Stensland, whose voice does full justice to the originals, the six-piece covers Waits' career from his early country- and jazz-tinged records to his more experimental later work. After a break between 2009 and 2013, the band returned to sold-out venues and has toured Denmark regularly ever since.
Raindogs has announced a new Denmark tour in October 2026 as well as another tour in March 2027.
The band completed a Denmark tour in May 2025 as a follow-up to the January/February tour the same year.
Raindogs performed at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge in Copenhagen on January 28, 2025.
The band shared new photo material on Facebook in December 2025, photographed by Jimmy Juncker.
