Ruel
Australian R&B artist Ruel brings his soulful sound to Amager Bio for an intimate concert.
Ruel (Ruel Vincent van Dijk, born 29 October 2002 in London) is a British-Australian singer-songwriter raised in Sydney. He debuted at 14 and in 2018 became the youngest solo artist ever to win the ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist. With over three billion streams and multiple sold-out world tours behind him, he has grown from teenage prodigy into one of Australia's most prominent voices in contemporary pop and R&B.
Ruel's third studio album 'Kicking My Feet & Screaming' - a follow-up to 'Kicking My Feet' from 2025 - was released on June 12, 2026 via Recess Records and Giant Music.
Ruel is on his 'Kicking & Screaming UK + EU Tour' with 16 planned concerts in nine countries, including stops in Dublin, Glasgow, London, Köln, Berlin and Amsterdam.
The second studio album 'Kicking My Feet' was released on October 17, 2025 and reached 22nd place on PopMatters' list of the year's best pop albums.
The single 'The Suburbs' won first prize at the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition 2025.
Ruel signed a contract with the American label Giant Music and released the EP 'Adaptations' in August 2024 as his first release in North America under the new deal.
