About
Sami Galbi is a Swiss-Moroccan musician who grew up in the alternative scene of French-speaking Switzerland. He draws on raï and chaâbi music from his childhood, rediscovered in the cabarets of Casablanca, reshaping it with analog synths, guitar effects and club energy borrowed from hip-hop and bass music. Sung mostly in Darija, his songs deal with identity and life in the diaspora.
