Simple Minds: Live 2027 - Celebrating 5 Decades Of Music
Scottish rock legends Simple Minds celebrate five decades of music at Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 1977 by vocalist Jim Kerr and guitarist Charlie Burchill. They broke through internationally with "Don't You (Forget About Me)" (1985), which hit number one in the US and Canada after featuring in the film The Breakfast Club. Over four decades they have moved from post-punk and new wave into arena rock, and remain an active touring and recording act with a new studio album due in early 2027.
Simple Minds announced on September 3, 2026 their new studio album Sacrosanct, which will be released on January 29, 2027 via BMG, with the single "Beginner Boys" as the first taste.
The band announced V Tour 2027 - their largest arena tour to date - starting in Australia and New Zealand in February 2027 and subsequent dates in Europe and UK with Gary Numan as special guest.
Simple Minds released on September 8, 2026 a joint memoir book by Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill.
Simple Minds expanded their Global Tour 2026 with new North American arena and theater dates.
The live album Live in the City of Diamonds was released on April 25, 2025 and reached top 20 in the British album charts and top 10 in the German charts.
