Søren Christian Vestergaard is the organist and cantor of Trinitatis Church in Copenhagen, a post he has held since 2007, helping shape the church's musical life including its long-running Friday concerts. Since 2013 he has also led the chamber choir Trinitatis Kantori. Trained at the West Jutland Conservatory with further studies in Vienna, Hamburg and Paris, he now teaches as a professor of organ and church music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, alongside an extensive career as a soloist, accompanist and continuo player with Danish and international choirs and ensembles. In 2021 he received the Frobenius Foundation's grand prize for his work as a musician and educator.
