Søren Lerby (born 1 February 1958 in Copenhagen) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder at the highest level of European club football throughout the 1980s. He represented Ajax Amsterdam, FC Bayern Munich, AS Monaco and PSV Eindhoven, collecting 17 trophies in total, including the 1988 European Cup with PSV. He earned 67 caps for Denmark and was a key figure at the 1984 European Championship and the 1986 World Cup. After retiring from playing, he spent over 25 years as a football agent before publishing his autobiography 'Dirigenten' with Gyldendal in 2023.
Frank Arnesen and Søren Lerby are going on a new Denmark tour from September 2026 to May 2027 with the lecture 'De gode historier', visiting among others Randers, Copenhagen, Vejle, Gram, Odense and Greve.
