About

Spoonful of Blues are a Norwegian blues band from Notodden, a small industrial town in Telemark with deep blues roots. They have released six albums on Bluestown Records, drawing on the raw, hypnotic grooves of Mississippi hill country blues fused with hard rock. Their 2023 album Songs From Notodden Norway was nominated for the Spellemann Award and earned strong reviews internationally. Following the death of guitarist Morten Omlid in late 2023, the band rebuilt with two new guitarists and has since expanded its touring schedule across Europe and beyond.
